Black Eyed Peas the E.N.D. Tour

Merry Christmas is all I could say, since this was Jimmy and I's Christmas gift to each other. It may have come late, but it was well worth it and I have to say, this may have been my favorite concert EVER!!! The night opened with LMFAO, Ludacris, then finally B.E.P.'s!! All three acts were awesome and so much fun! LMFAO sang "I'm in Des Moines Biotch", which was hilarious; Ludacris went old school with "What's Your Fantacy" and broke it down with the new stuff "Battle of the Sexes". By the time B.E.P.'s came out everyone was bouncing off the walls and the drinkers were out in full force. The B.E.P.'s came out with their guns blazing and sounded awesome with new and old tunes for nearly 2 hours.. once they got about half way through their concert, they all had their own spotlight. Apl.De.Ap c came out singing to Philippino tunes, Taboo came out on a motorcyle that was lifted and ridden in the air, Will I Am came out with the turn table that also was lifted into the air, and Fergi came out with "Glamorous" and "Big Girls Don't Cry", not to mention Ludacris joined her.
I still cannot believe I was there in person.. its definitely a party and worth spending any amount of money for tickets! This is a party you won't forget or regret!

Abbi Jo Cracker

So I get a call a few weeks ago that my dog, Abbi, a Cocker Spaniel, is not doing well. My parents had to take her to the vet and leave her there for several days to recover from a surgery to take fluid from her heart/lungs. Following, she went home and preceded to do well and go about her days as she would usually do. I get another call today saying she went back to the Vet due to some of the same symptoms, not eating, not moving, blowing up like a balloon.

So today I just want to give a shout out to my Abbi Jo Cracker in hopes she pulls through! I love you dog, but if its time, its time, and you will greatly be missed!

Just wanted to give a shout out to the SUPERBOWL CHAMPS, THE NEW ORLEANS SAINTS! There is a first time for everything! Oh when the Saints go marching in, oh how I want to be in that number, when the Saints go marching in!!! WHO DAT!

Ok so this is only a week late, but I'm a busy person people! Anyways, the other night I was sleeping peacefully sound and all of a sudden, BAM BAM BAM BAM! Right into my back was Jimmy's fists, 4 times! So I wake up the next morning and ask him what the heck he was doing, Jimmy:"The Gremlins had my arm, and so I broke loose and tried to get them back". Genny: "Gremlins?", "What?". Jimmy: "Gremlins".
So there ya go. Watch out for the Gremlins.

Which one is it?

Volunteer Tennis Coach

So this weekend I was asked to help out the Woman's Tennis team this morning. They played Kansas and boy was it a long day! I sat on courts #1 for Doubles and #2 Singles and helped win both! It felt good to coach again and to make a difference, but I'm not set on doing any 'Real' coaching anytime soon. I am enjoying my non-coaching days and enjoy the little extra sleep in the mornings, the free weekends, and enjoying my daily conversations with my hubby!

This weekend my mother-in-law comes to visit, she's never been out here to our new place, and so since she is the 'Queen Of Finding Cheap Airfare' we get to spend some time with our favorite 'little person' (Jimmy made me put that)! I can't wait to see her! Jimmy has 2 big Tennis matches also this weekend so we will be busy with all of that too! GO DRAKE!

Anyways, I hope everyone has a great week and don't forget to pick your winner for the Superbowl. The Saints are going to come marching back to New Orleans with a Superbowl WIN!! WHO DAT! WHO DAT! WHO DAT SAY THEY GONNA BEAT DEM SAINTS!? WHO DAT! Can you tell I am routing for the SAINTS?!

Taking 'Near death experiences' to the next level

Well this morning, just like every other morning I get up to go teach as a substitute. I knew the weather would be a little iffy but I heard cars passing so I decided it would be ok. The stairs outside were very slippery, but that didn't stop me from getting in the car and driving. Usually the driveway is an indication its too slippery, but I drove up the driveway without any problems. I get about a mile from the house and I hear on the radio that Metro schools are closed today, well that's just great! So I drive back home and like any other day I back down the driveway into the garage. WRONG! With the left foot hovering the emergency break, the right foot on the regular break, and the snow button in effect; I slide down the driveway turning sideways and try my hardest not to hit the garage! Finally I land very close to the garage and end up in the snow (thank goodness!!). I probably had a heart attack while I was screaming and a complete wreck! My neighbor, thank the lord, was backing out his car and came running over! Thus, the car went in the driveway the opposite of the way I planned. Whew! What a morning!
The moral of the story.... if you need ideas of how to take 'Near death experiences' to the next level, call me!
